It’s confirmed. Instagram’s in-app shopping experience has been improved. Instagram has now become a direct e-commerce platform. Today, the company introduced its long-awaited Instagram ‘Checkout’ feature. A feature that may rival the likes of Amazon!
Yes, you’ve guessed it. Instagram users will now be able to purchase products directly on the Instagram platform. To utilise the shopping feature, users simply have to add their payment details to their Instagram account. They can then checkout in a matter of finger taps.
Brands that are allowed to use the Checkout feature
So, you may be wondering what brands are able to do so… Only a select number of brands are actually able to use the feature at this point. Instagram is testing the new feature on over 20 brands, before making it a widespread feature for businesses. This includes Kim Kardashians brand, KKW Beauty.
