Instagram has long been a key player in influencer marketing. Now the new(ish) kid on the block, TikTok, is set to follow in its footsteps. Since merging with back in August 2018, the short-form video platform has gone from strength to strength. In February this year, TikTok hit a billion downloads and in May Apple announced it was the most downloaded app for the fifth quarter running. All of this means that when it comes to influencer marketing, TikTok has shaped to become a big hitter. Between the two of them, Instagram and TikTok can boast a whole wealth of influencer talent across a host of niches. Whether it’s art, fashion and travel or fitness, comedy and dance, there’s an influencer out there for you.

Here we take a look at some of the top UK influencers on TikTok and Instagram right now. We’ve also thrown in a French creator that shot to fame just after featuring in one of PMYB’s TikTok influencer campaigns, @Salif_Crookboyz.


1) Holly H

With more than 15,000,000 fans, Holly H is one of the UK’s top influencers on TikTok. Starting out on Vine, she moved over to before it became TikTok. At the time of writing, she’s fast closing in on 300,000,000 likes on the platform. She is best known for her fun, light-hearted lip-synching videos but she also has more than a million followers on Instagram. Holly H makes her living as an influencer. She has already worked with Nickelodeon and created an ad for the film How to Train Your Dragon 3. In 2017 she was a judge for’s Muser Battle, which took place at the O2 Academy Islington, London and was hosted by the BBC’s Nick Robertson.

2) Ramario Chevoy

Choreographer, stylist and model, Ramario Chevoy is making waves when it comes to all things fashion. With a fast-rising 14,500 followers on Instagram, he’s an established name on the London scene. Ramario regularly posts Outfit Of The Day snaps, posing in a wide array of stylish togs. He lists and tags the clothes and footwear in each picture, increasing exposure for a diverse range of brands. He is a regular face at London Fashion Week Men’s and was recently featured in Vogue Australia as one of the best street style looks.

3) Vicky Banham

With 1,300,000 fans on TikTok, Vicky Banham first became a UK influencer through her fun comedy and lip-synching videos. Her videos have already been liked more than 7,000,000 times and she also has 18,500 followers on Instagram. A talented makeup artist and body painter, Vicky often creates full back pieces for special occasions such as the World Cup. As a top influencer, she was a VIP guest at the 2018 MTV EMAs and was recently flown out to Ibiza for DJ Sigala’s album launch. Earlier this year, she also teamed up with other TikTok artists to create promotional videos for Sony Pictures Entertainment. Taking part in challenges based on scenes from the thriller Escape Room, TikTok creatives from around the world recorded their experiences to share with fans.

4) Joe Wicks

Fitness and nutrition expert Joe Wicks hit influencer big time when he first started posting videos to his Instagram page back in 2014. Also known as The Body Coach, his 15-second Lean in 15 videos demonstrate how to cook a nutritious meal in 15 minutes. Health-conscious social media users lapped it up and Joe now boasts an enviable 2,700,000 Instagram followers. As one of the top influencers in health and fitness, Joe has appeared in magazines such as Marie Claire and Grazia. He has published numerous cookbooks and also has his own Channel 4 television show called The Body Coach. And proving once again that influencer marketing works best when there is authenticity, in 2016 Fitness First made The Body Coach the face of their Blue Monday campaign.

5) Amber Doig-Thorne

Facebook superstar turned TikTok sensation Amber Doig-Thorne may be a Jack of all trades but somehow manages to be a master of them all. Model, presenter, content creator and now leading actress, there doesn’t seem to be much she can’t turn her hand to. Amber’s built up an impressive 226,700 fans on TikTok to add to her 405,000 Instagram and 1,400,000 Facebook followers. Well known for her comedic side – it was her Facebook pranks that hurtled her to fame back in 2016 – this influencer has personality by the bucketload. She has had roles in a number of films including Horoscope: Episode I – The NightHouse and Fanged Up. Amber also has leading roles in upcoming releases This Time Next Year I’ll Be Famous and The Seven. She has worked with many big name brands including Max Factor, JustEat, Badoo, Lionsgate, Warner Brothers, and Paramount

6) Sergei Urban

Stay-at-home dad Sergei Urban is better known online as The Dad Lab. Sergei films himself and his two young children carrying out science experiments and educational activities together. What started as a hobby on Facebook took off and grew to a YouTube channel and now 867,000 people follow The Dad Lab on Instagram. As one of the UK’s top influencers in the family arena, Sergei has to date published two books offering tips for activities to carry out with children. He also collaborates with LEGO and the BBC in his quest to inspire parents through educational activities.

7) Rhia Official

Rhia Welsh, TikTok’s Rhia Official, shot to social media fame through her lip-synching videos. Originally a top influencer on, she migrated across to TikTok when the two merged last year and now has a whopping 2,500,000 fans on the app. She also has 81,200 followers on Instagram. While Rhia is currently studying for her Master’s degree, she hopes that in the future she will have a career in social media. And the future looks bright – in April 2018 she was chosen by Disney and FIFA to promote Women’s Football Week.

8) Alfie Deyes

YouTuber and vlogger Alfie Deyes makes up one half of top influencer couple Zalfie along with his girlfriend Zoe Sugg, aka Zoella. Starting out when he was 15 as a YouTuber, Alfie’s gone from strength to top influencer royalty in the past ten years. His Instagram following currently stands at 4,000,000. Most famous for vlogging about his day to day life, he has also published several books and was a member of the Band Aid 30 charity supergroup. The most popular video on his YouTube channel features Ariana Grande applying his makeup and has almost 17,000,000 views.

9) Chloe Rose

Singer Chloe Rose made her name lip-synching for videos through firstly the and later the TikTok platform. She currently has 3,600,000 fans on TikTok and her videos have been liked more than fifty million times. Chloe has collaborated with many other content creators and they often perform in joint lip-synching videos for her TikTok fans. She recorded a song called For Me in 2016 for the 30th anniversary of Childline. Chloe was also the face of Make a Noise About Bullying, a government campaign designed to tackle bullying.

10) Sangiev Sriskumar

YouTuber and vlogger Sangiev Sriskumar is a prominent face on the fashion scene. He’s accumulated 64,800 followers on Instagram to date and his Ways to Wear videos on YouTube often top 100,000 views. He is featured as one of the top Asian influencers on the BBC short clips series My Asian Alter Ego. He is regularly featured in fashion blogs and magazines and recently released his own pendant through bespoke jewellers Hunt & Co.

11) Danielle Haden

Danielle Haden, best known for her energetic dancing and lip-synching on TikTok as @dansrose, is a dancer and choreographer from London. She currently has more than 225,000 fans on the former platform and aims to inspire children to be more confident. Danielle is also a model and recently walked the red carpet at the Brit Awards. She has worked with Virgin EMI, Sony Music, Ne-Yo, and Sigala.

12) James Asquith

James Asquith is the youngest person to have visited every country in the world. This makes him one of the top influencers when it comes to all things travel. 674,000 people currently follow his Instagram account which, unsurprisingly, is a hotbed of beautiful photography. He has also written a book about his travels called Breaking Borders. His book spent time on Amazon’s Top 10 Travel Books list. Last year James launched Holiday Swap, a company which has been described as a “Travel Tinder.” He strongly supports Unicef’s efforts to tackle the humanitarian crisis in Yemen with a link to a fundraising page featuring on Holiday Swap’s website.

13) Amelia Gething

Top UK influencer Amelia Gething has many fingers in many social media pies. Her career started out on where she became known for her lip-synching videos. Amelia’s current fan count on successor app TikTok stands at 7,200,000 with another 403,000 following her on Instagram. Her popular YouTube channel showcases a mix of comedy sketches, dance routines, and song covers. Her talents caught the eye of the BBC who have commissioned a show – The Amelia Gething Complex – which will air this autumn. She has also appeared in an episode of Hollyoaks.

14) Connor Darlington

YouTuber Connor Darlington is another of TikTok’s top influencers. With almost 750,000 fans on the platform, his reach is extending by the day. He also has a not unimpressive 19,700 followers on Instagram. Best known for his comedy and prank videos, he dresses up as a number of different characters for TikTok. He currently has a profile as part of the JD Sports #IAMJD campaign.

15) Freddie Harrel

Fashion blogger and confidence coach Freddie Harrel is one of the top UK influencers for style, with an impressive 183,000 followers on Instagram. A personal stylist for ASOS until 2015, by 2018 she had been listed in the top 24 of the World’s Most Popular Style Bloggers by Popsugar. In the same year, she also won Cosmopolitan’s Gold Standard Award for Influencer of the Year. In 2017 she was announced as a new face of Boots No7 Lift and Luminate campaign, which focused heavily on one of her specialist subjects – confidence. Paris-born but London-based, in January the Huffington Post listed Freddie as one of the ’15 Fashion Instagram Accounts You Need To Be Following In 2019′.

16) Adam Salisbury

Adam Salisbury is an artist from Blackpool who is quickly rising up the TikTok ranks. He is fast approaching 400,000 fans and 7,000,000 likes. His videos are an eclectic mix of art and lip-synching. Adam first came to the public’s attention when a video of a Harry Potter mural he was painting went viral and he’s been rising ever since. Murals are his speciality – so far he’s wowed his fans with Minecraft, SpongeBob, and The Greatest Showman wall pieces. This is definitely one art influencer to keep an eye on.

17) Hannah Snow

Hannah Snow is best known as a YouTuber and TikTok star. With more than 737,000 fans on TikTok following her antics, Hannah is right up there in the top circle of comedic UK influencers. With a mix of DIY, comedy and the obligatory TikTok lip-synching videos, Hannah has caught the internet’s attention in a big way. In February this year, she appeared at VidCon London. It is the global YouTube convention that brings YouTubers and their followers together under one roof. She was also recently invited over to Disneyland Paris by Disney, where she documented the trip for her 20,000 Instagram followers.

18) Aiden Cook

Aiden Cook, aka @da.tall.guy on TikTok, has racked up more than 670,000 fans on the app. He is predominantly a comedy content creator. In 2017 he produced a series of videos called “Stick to Learning” involving celebrity singers which proved to be incredibly popular. He counts almost 13,000 Instagram followers amongst his audience and has worked with FA Women’s Football and Chupa Chups.

19) Dina Torkia

Dina Torkia – also known as Dina Tokio – started out as a YouTuber and vlogger almost ten years ago. Known as one of a community of “hijabi bloggers” she offered tips and style advice on dressing fashionably whilst wearing a hijab. As one of social media’s fashion darlings, and top UK influencers, she now attracts 1,300,000 followers on Instagram.

In 2015 she worked along with her husband, graphic designer Sid Kaan, to launch what proved to be a hugely successful clothing line. She was named one of YouTube’s Creators for Change in 2017, and 2018 saw the release of her book – part style guide, part autobiography – Modestly. She has been featured on the BBC numerous times, including in the documentary Muslim Beauty Pageant and Me. In March last year, Vogue named her one of the New Suffragettes alongside such names as Reni Eddo-Lodge and Paris Lees. A brand favourite, Dina has worked with H&M, ASOS, and Revlon amongst many others.

20) Max and Harvey Mills

Identical twins Max and Harvey Mills are bona fide TikTok superstar influencers. They first hit the big time back in 2016 and to date have almost six million fans on the app. Talented singers, they have gained a colossal following across various social media platforms including 1,000,000 followers on Instagram. Last year they were signed to Disney’s RMI Recordings and they have released both original and cover singles. Max and Harvey have been nominated for various awards including Muser of the Year and YouTube Musician at the Shorty Awards.

In 2018 they were given their own TV show called Fear of Missing Out, broadcast on CBBC. In 2017 the duo were honorary race starters at the Simplyhealth Junior and Mini Great Manchester Run in conjunction with Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. This makes the pair not only attractive to commercial brands but also a top influencer choice when it comes to good cause campaigns.

21) Anna Bogomolova

Anna Bogomolova is a visual artist best known for her TikTok account where she has accrued 1,900,000 fans. Her videos range from comedic singing and dancing skits to lip-synching and artistic creations. She is also known for dressing up in an array of unique and eye-catching outfits. Anna is a talented artist and frequently posts pictures of her work for her 31,700 Instagram fans. She has featured in the Russian-Spanish magazine Revista Rusa en España. She was also recently a guest at the Blogosphere Awards 2019 and it’s surely only a matter of time before this London-based influencer is nominated herself.
